J. Vance Hancock

Vance represents businesses and their owners in the area of business law and also assists clients in the area of trusts and estates.
He provides comprehensive business counsel in the areas of law affecting businesses, including business structure, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, import/export, tax and dispute resolution.  Vance has represented clients in diverse industries, including banking, chemical production and sale, manufacturing, distribution, architecture, digital media and consulting. Among other things, Vance has assisted clients with major information technology outsourcing and purchases, development of distributions networks, software licensing and software as a service, business acquisitions and sales, resolution of business disputes and development of export control and other regulatory compliance policies and procedures.
Vance also assists business owners and other individuals to develop comprehensive and appropriate estate plans. Many of these estates involve planning for business succession as well as asset distribution, and all require attention to the effect of tax laws on the plans of clients.
